We aim to empower refugees by providing the tools, resources, and support necessary to achieve economic and social self-sufficiency. Our digital training courses focus on skill enhancement, job market readiness, mentorship, entrepreneurship, and postgraduation support.

Primary Objective
The Digital Marketing and E-commerce instructor will design and deliver high-quality training programs to build the capacity of refugees and host communities in digital marketing and e-commerce. This role aims to empower participants with practical skills that enhance employability, foster entrepreneurship, and support community-driven business solutions.

Key Responsibilities
1. Student Identification and Interview
Identify and assess potential students using established selection criteria.
Conduct interviews to evaluate students’ readiness for AReL’s programs.
Recommend candidates for enrollment based on program alignment.
2. Student Onboarding
Lead orientation sessions to familiarize students with program expectations and objectives.
Ensure students understand available resources and support systems.
Oversee the completion of administrative and technical onboarding tasks.
3. Student Training
Provide hands-on, project-based learning across core areas of digital marketing and e-commerce.
Deliver practical training in topics like SEO, social media, email marketing, analytics, content creation, WordPress/Elementor, and e-commerce store setup.
Use real-world examples, encourage active participation, and tailor instruction to student progress and local context.
4. Student Assessment and Learning Logs
Prepare and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and learning outcomes, providing constructive feedback.
Mark assessments and provide detailed, constructive feedback to support learning.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Encourage students to maintain learning logs, reflecting on their progress and identifying areas for improvement.
Use assessment results to adapt teaching strategies and address learning gaps.
Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly reports, including training metrics, success stories, and areas for improvement.
5. Job Market Preparedness and Mentorship
Facilitate workshops on resume writing, interview preparation, and professional behavior.
Mentor students in building professional networks and identifying career opportunities.
Guide students in exploring entrepreneurship options and developing business ideas.
Help students transition into the workplace or entrepreneurial endeavors successfully.
6. Curriculum Development
Develop and implement practical, skill-based curricula that cater to the diverse learning needs of participants.
Ensure training content is aligned with industry standards, current trends in digital marketing and e-commerce and AReLs goals to address evolving community needs.
Collaborate on the design, review, and enhancement of training materials to keep them relevant and effective.
Incorporate cultural and industry-specific examples to enrich learning experiences.
7. Project Design, Capacity Building and Mentorship
Guide students in creating and managing e-commerce platforms, focusing on real-world applications
Facilitate the creation of student projects that address local challenges and showcase their newly acquired skills.
Provide mentorship to participants, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed for a successful career in Digital Marketing and E-commerce.
Encourage students to develop problem-solving skills and best practices in digital marketing and e-commerce
8. Program Coordination
Develop and manage a comprehensive training calendar to ensure timely delivery of sessions.
Monitor student participation and progress, identifying areas for improvement and offering tailored support where necessary.
Implement strategies to optimize retention rates and student success.
9. Innovation and Technology Integration
Explore emerging technologies such as AI in marketing to enhance training offerings
Integrate best practices and new tools into the curriculum to enhance the learning experience.

Performance Objectives
Train at least 60-100 participants annually, achieving measurable proficiency in digital marketing and e-commerce.
Support the launch of at least 5 student-led e-commerce stores by program participants.
Achieve a graduation rate of at least 80% among program students.
Maintain an 80% satisfaction rating based on participant feedback.
Build partnerships with neighboring schools for competitions and hackathons.
Strengthen alumni networks to track progress and facilitate knowledge sharing.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, ICT, Communication, Business, or a related field.
Professional certifications in Digital Marketing, E-commerce, Web Development, or related disciplines.

Technical Proficiency
Solid experience in Digital Marketing tools: Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Yoast).
Practical expertise in WordPress website design, especially using Elementor for drag-and-drop customization.
Strong skills in Graphic Design (e.g., using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, or Photoshop) for social media creatives, branding, and campaign visuals.
Working knowledge of Video Editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve) to create marketing content for digital platforms.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce, Shopify) and digital tools for email marketing, copywriting, and retargeting.

Experience
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, including campaign planning and execution.
At least 2 years of practical experience in web design and development, particularly using WordPress and Elementor.
Demonstrated ability to create marketing collateral using graphic design and video editing tools.
Prior experience facilitating training, mentoring, or workshops, especially in multicultural or resource-constrained environments, is highly preferred.
Proven success in helping learners or businesses launch websites, online stores, or digital campaigns.

Ability to train across multiple modules: SEO, Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, PPC, E-commerce, Analytics, Graphic Design, and Video Editing.
Capable of guiding students through real-world projects, such as building websites, developing social campaigns, and creating branded visual and video content.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills with an inclusive, learner-centered teaching approach.
Committed to empowering refugee and host community youth through practical, relevant digital skills.
Proficiency in English and Swahili is required.
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kakuma Refugee Camp.

Compensation
Gross monthly salary: KES 60,000 to 70,000, comparable with experience and qualifications
