We seek a passionate female facilitator to empower women through technology by teaching our Tech Fundamentals Curriculum. The facilitator will cover topics such as computer basics, Microsoft Office, internet safety, website creation, email communication, social media, and microtasking (data entry, annotation, translation, and transcription). Additionally, Kiza manages Elimisha Kakuma in Kenya, that provides access to higher education opportunities for high school graduates living in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role involves coordinating organizational plans, maintaining operational records, and assisting in implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency. The Operations Assistant also plays a key role in managing resource distribution, supporting procurement processes, and addressing logistical challenges to contribute to the overall success of AReL’s mission.

Mary Irungu is a highly skilled finance, audit, and risk management professional with over 14 years of experience in financial oversight, audit management, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment across diverse industries. She specializes in fraud risk mitigation, corporate governance, internal controls, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, having successfully led major assignments in financial services, petroleum, technology, and the humanitarian sector. Mary has worked with multinational teams to strengthen regulatory frameworks, enhance transparency, and drive operational efficiency. Mary holds an MBA in International Business from United States International University (USIU), Kenya, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Nairobi. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K), and a Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.

The IT Manager at Action for Refugee Life (AReL) is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the organization’s information technology infrastructure. This role includes ensuring the reliability and security of IT systems, managing software and hardware resources, and providing technical support to staff and program participants. The IT Manager works closely with the operations team to implement technology solutions that enhance organizational efficiency and support AReL’s mission. Jordan Cowell holds a Bachelor's in Intercultural Communications and is pursuing a Master's in International Migration Studies at CUNY. She has a deep commitment to supporting immigrant and refugee communities through economic empowerment and labor market integration and brings extensive experience in program management, workforce development, employer relations, and direct client support. Jordan has experience across the nonprofit and private sectors in the U.S. and Argentina. She currently works at Sanctuary for Families, leading job search strategy and employer partnerships, and previously supported refugee resettlement through the Welcome Corps at Refugee Welcome Collective. Jordan also volunteers as a Career Mentor and English Coach and co-designed a free English and Career Confidence program for skilled immigrants and refugees looking to rebuild their careers in the U.S.
